CityU has launched the series "Beyond Boundaries: Dialogue with Presidents of World’s Leading Educational Institutions”, hosted by President Way Kuo. He discusses contemporary education issues and challenges from a global perspective with educational experts from top institutions in South Africa, India, Germany, Japan and mainland China who have visited CityU. The inaugural University Day (U-Day) 2022 was held on 18 March to spotlight CityU’s achievements in professional education and research. City community including staff, students, alumni and supporters participated in the virtual inauguration ceremony. The U-Day will be held on the third Friday of March every year to celebrate CityU’s remarkable accomplishments. Learn More>>

Part 2 of the University Anthem is released, with the brand new, inspirational lyrics written by President Way Kuo. Themed “Worldliness”, it encapsulates the University’s aspirations to integrate teaching and research, and our determination to stay focused on education. Click Here>>

The University Mascot has been unveiled at the U-Day Inauguration Ceremony. Inspired by the wise, vital, vigorous, strong and pro-active character of the amazing tiger, the mascot will feature at future events and in CityU communications, continuously reminding the community of our distinctive brand and our true colors. Construction work for the 5th phase of the Student Hostel project at CityU at Whitehead, Ma On Shan officially commenced on 14 March. The hostel complex will offer high-quality accommodation and learning space, a large amount of greening equipment, plus academic and amenity facilities for students from all over the world. CityU Homecoming 2022 has been successfully held on 13 March. Themed “Connect, We Grow”, the fun-filled and inspiring event featured 14 programmes, with more than 2,000 alumni visits recorded. Some highlights of the day include A Dialogue with the President, in which President Way Kuo shared updates on University development, and his fond memories with alumni. In recent decades, studies have raised concerns on the relationship between source of food and issues in local traditions, globalisation and environmental sustainability. This seminar organised by Department of Asian and International Studies (AIS) will be held via ZOOM on 13 April. The series will guide audiences to innovative thinking and offer information to think through future food scenarios and especially the potential to design a more sustainable food system. Register Now>>
