Professor Matthew Lee Kwok-on, Vice-President (Development and External Relations), sketched out CityU’s internationalisation strategies and achievements in his keynote address at the event, highlighting the importance of internationalisation for a leading global university. CityU will confer honorary doctoral degrees on Professor Evelyn L. Hu and Dr John Maeda in recognition of their significant contributions to education and the well-being of society. Professor Hu will receive Honorary Doctor of Science for her leadership in nanoscale science and engineering, and Dr Maeda will receive Honorary Doctor of Engineering for innovations at the intersection of design, computing, art and education. The Indra and Harry Banga Gallery at CityU presents the new exhibition “Hunters, Warriors, Spirits: Nomadic Art of North China” from now until 23 October (Book a visit now).
