CityU shines once again in the 2021 top 100 universities granted US utility patents by the National Academy of Inventors. It is placed 29th in the world, the highest-ever position and 22 places better than last year. CityU is ranked 1st among local institutions for the 6th consecutive year. Read More>>

CityU actively encourages students to immerse themselves in athletic and musical activities as well as pursue academic knowledge. The academic and athletic potential of seven student-athletes admitted in the 2022/23 academic year will be supported. A forum on “Advanced Matter and Materials” under HK Tech Forum will be held on 19 – 20 September, with a focus on discussing microelectronic packaging and mechanical behaviour of materials. The forum series features world-leading scientists and technologists to promote strong collaboration between Hong Kong scholars in applying a multidisciplinary approach to tackling challenging technology issues. Register Here>>

BA Creative Media graduate Ms Phoebe Hui (許方華) is named Artist of the Year (Media Arts) at the 16th Hong Kong Arts Development Awards this year. Specialised in fusing art with science and technology, Phoebe attributed her creative breakthroughs to the persistence in originality and style. Read More>>

The Indra and Harry Banga Gallery at CityU presents the new exhibition “Hunters, Warriors, Spirits: Nomadic Art of North China” from now until 23 October (Book a visit now). The exhibition features over 250 ancient artworks, which tells the story of the nomads through the diverse lenses of archaeology, art history, and anthropology. Click Here>>
