The final episode of "Beyond Boundaries: Dialogue with Presidents of World’s Leading Educational Institutions” is released. The production of this series has taken three years to complete, during which President Way Kuo visited and interviewed renowned educators including 30 presidents of higher education institutions and 6 high school principals around the world. Watch Now>>

Successful alumni applicants of CityU Delegation – Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2023 are reminded to collect uniform on 3-5 February. Alumni are also invited to join CityU cheering team on the race day (12 February) via online registration by 6 February.

A more than HK$17 million donation from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust is helping CityU to run a three-year education project called “Jockey Club Project IDEA”. The project aims to enhance the literacy and technical skills of secondary school students and teachers to work at the intersection of arts and technology (Arts Tech), while promoting social inclusion among the younger generation and the general public. PhD Electronic Engineering graduate Professor Guo Yongxin (郭永新) is currently a Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS), and Director for the Peak of Excellence on Smart Medical Technology at NUS Suzhou Research Institute. As a well-established scholar, he has by far published over 500 highly-cited journal and conference papers, contributing to the global development of microwave biomedicine. Read Now>>

The next President's Lecture Series titled “Chemical vapor deposition: from diamond film to conductive polymer skin of battery materials” will be held online on 8 February, in which Professor Chen Guohua, Dean and Chair Professor of Smart Energy Conversion and Storage at CityU School of Energy and Environment, will share his research work on advanced electrode materials using chemical vapour deposition. CityU Department of Biostatistics will organise an online seminar “Constructing local cell-specific-networks from single-cell reference” by Dr Xuran Wang on 16 February. Join to learn more about the innovative approach, locCSN, that estimates cell-specific networks (CSNs) for each cell in the identification of differential network genes, which might help explain the etiology of disease. More Details>>
