President Way Kuo led a team of around 500 CityU athletes consisting of senior management team, staff,  alumni, and students for the 13th consecutive race at the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon  on 12 February. Under the leadership of President Kuo, CityU is one of the very few universities in Asia to advocate the spirit of excellence in academics, sports and music. Read More>>

The CityU Walk Contest, which is part of a Wellness For All programme, will be held during 1 – 31 March 2023. The major aim of this virtual contest is to promote Healthy U through walking with the theme of “Team Up to Walk for Health”. All alumni are welcome to join. More Details>>

The Cultural Exchange Oasis of CityU proudly presents A Showcase of Everlasting Cantonese Music (絃歌不絕 春華秋實) by Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble, a concert which aims to broaden the public's understanding of Cantonese Music and present the treasures of Hong Kong's traditional music culture. Engineering Doctorate graduate Dr Jacky Ng (伍于祺) is the first Chinese Principal Engineer at FUJIFILM Business Innovation Hong Kong Limited, responsible for a portfolio of business innovation technologies and solutions. With his extensive experience, Jacky also contributes actively to academic and public services, including serving as the Chairman of Internet Society Hong Kong, which strives to promote the sustainable development of the industry. Read More>>

Dr Xiao Qiao, Assistant Professor in the School of Data Science at CityU, received the 2022 Amazon Research Award in the research area of Applied Machine Learning with his research proposal titled “Predicting Successful Scientific Collaborations”. Dr Qiao was the only recipient from an Asian university among the 26 awardees worldwide. His award-winning research proposal seeks to identify and quantify factors that impact scientific success. HK Tech 300 will be open for Seed Fund application on 22 February. It leads to HK$100,000 funding sources and other support from the University for aspiring entrepreneurs among CityU students, alumni, research staff and others. To sign up and Learn More>>

Professor Hu Jinlian of the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Professor Zhu Yuntian of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at CityU have been elected as the 2022 class of Fellows of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) in recognition of their tangible impact on the economic development and welfare of society.
