A topping-out ceremony on 23 February marked a major construction milestone for the CityU International Centre at CityU. This unique building aligns with CityU's vision to develop as an internationalised campus where students from around the world can mingle, learn and study in a comfortable, cosmopolitan environment. Read More>>

Further collaboration between Cornell University and CityU was discussed during a visit and distinguished lecture by Professor Michael I. Kotlikoff, Provost at Cornell, on 10 February. Professor Kotlikoff and President Way Kuo had a fruitful exchange on the developments of CityU veterinary medicine programmes and the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences. A delegation of CityU led by President Way Kuo, visited Taiwan in February to share the University’s latest developments with media representatives and secondary school principals and students. President Kuo also held a book launch for his new book, The Absence of Soulware in Higher Education, during the visit. Read More>>

A research team co-led by Dr Zeng Zhiyuan, Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at CityU, and Professor Li Ju, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), developed an efficient and novel method to fabricate “closed” electrochemical liquid cells, which can greatly improve the resolution of TEM with liquid samples. College of Business graduate Mr Ryan Fung (馮鈺龍) is the Deputy Chief Executive and Chief of Retail & Digital Strategy at Shanghai Commercial Bank, pioneering innovative tech solutions for banking services. The CityU Walk Contest, which is part of a Wellness For All programme, is now open until 31 March (Friday). The major aim of this virtual contest is to promote Healthy U through walking with the theme of “Team Up to Walk for Health”. All alumni are welcome to join. More Details>>

The Cultural Exchange Oasis of CityU proudly presents “A Showcase of Everlasting Cantonese Music” (絃歌不絕 — 春華秋實) by Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble on 15 March (Wednesday), a concert which aims to broaden the public's understanding of Cantonese Music and present the treasures of Hong Kong's traditional music culture. Click Here>> for details and registration.
