Novel ideas and technological developments were shared and debated by world-leading scholars and experts at the highly anticipated Data Science and AI Forum 2023, jointly organised by CityU and Lingnan University from 30 to 31 May. The 17th SIG Playful Media Showcase 2023 is now open to the public for free until 25 June at Singing Waves Gallery of CityU Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre. The exhibition this year features 25 fascinating works by students from the School of Creative Media. For Details and Registration>>

The CityU Sports Team Annual Prize Presentation Ceremony was held in celebration of the outstanding performance of CityU team in the Inter-collegiate Sports Competitions organised by the University Sports Federation of Hong Kong, China. Alumnus Professor Kenneth Leung (梁美儀), a Hong Kong marine ecologist and current Director of the State Key Laboratory of Marine Pollution at CityU, has recently led a research team to investigate the upcycling of ashes and sediment waste discarded by the Tuen Mun T-Park incinerator into eco-tiles, which enhance marine biodiversity on artificial seawalls effectively. Alumni are welcome to register for “CityU Organic Farming Series: Talk on Home Planting Tips” organised by the Convocation with your family and friends on 30 July (Sunday) to gain useful tips for growing plants at home. The event will be hosted by Convocation Vice Chairman Mr Gabriel Ho who is also a registered horticultural therapist. Graduate of BBA Quantitative Finance and Risk Management and former CityU Student Ambassador Mr Gary Yeung (楊家禧) is now Vice President at JPMorgan Chase & Co. During his studies at CityU, he received various scholarships that recognised his ability and boosted his self-confidence, paving the way for his promising career. Congratulations to CityU fresh graduate Mr Shanzheng Ba (巴善征), BSc in Computational Finance, for recently landing a dream job as an analyst at the prestigious Morgan Stanley in New York this year.
