Over 800 members of the CityUHK community united in the highly anticipated Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2024, held on 21 January, as part of the celebrations for CityUHK’s 30th anniversary as a university. The CityUHK Delegation, composed of alumni, staff and students, infused the race with enthusiasm and solidarity. The Eminence Society (ES) successfully held the Inauguration of its 7th Executive Committee cum Annual Dinner on January 29 at the Faculty Lounge on campus. Around 70 participants, including University representatives, honorary guests and ES members, gathered together to celebrate the occasion and witnessed the oathtaking led by ES Chairman Dr Raymond Leung, while receiving University updates. Council Chairman Mr Lester Huang and President Freddy Boey praised highly the contributions of ES in uniting senior and prominent alumni.

A delegation of the EMBA Association, led by Chairman Mr Banny Yu, visited Huawei's global headquarters in Shenzhen and met with its representatives on 13 January. Around 40 members visited the Huawei Cloud Exhibition Hall and flagship store at the Bantian Base, and exchanged ideas with Chairman and members of the Shenzhen Alumni Chapter, with hopes for more interaction between alumni across the border. The undergraduate programme has honed her management skills which she applied effectively to her career in finance and leadership roles.
