President Kuo: CityU emphasises nurturing future leaders

We are pleased to share with you that in an exclusive interview with RTHK, President Way Kuo talked about his vision and mission for nurturing future leaders. He discussed the flagship innovation and entrepreneurship programme, HK Tech 300, and other recent achievements.

For example, he pointed out that the University had allocated HK$500 million to launch HK Tech 300, aiming to establish 300 startups championed by CityU students in three years. He shared that the University had been emphasising the fundamentals of the liberal arts and sciences, and seeking to nurture students’ creativity for their professional careers.

He also mentioned CityU’s growing global recognition, such as being ranked 1st among local universities in the top 100 universities granted US utility patents by the National Academy of Inventors. The RTHK programme ended with CityU’s anthem, which President Kuo wrote the lyrics for.
