Calling all alumni in Canada

Wednesday, January 30th, 2013

ARO is strengthening alumni networks in Canada, and is planning to organise alumni gatherings in some key cities. So if you know of any alumni who are out of the loop, please let us know through Pheony Tsang at aaphet@cityu.edu.hk or +852 3442 6193. You might also like to contact your nearest alumni ambassador.

We really appreciate the work of these ambassadors and other alumni who keep us informed of their recent news. We would also love to hear from all you others out there so that we can learn about your life and happenings. This helps strengthen the bond of CityU alumni and your connection with your Alma Mater.

In recognition of the enthusiastic support and generous donation made by alumnus Dr Raymond Leung Siu Hong, Lecture Theatre 14 of Academic 1 at CityU was named “Leung Ko Yuk Tak Lecture Theatre” on 22 December 2012. At the ceremony, President Professor Way Kuo expressed deep gratitude to Dr and Mrs Leung for their great contributions to the students and the University over the years.

Convocation is delighted to know that the valiant runners have been training hard and are in top form to compete as the CityU Delegation at Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon on Sunday 24 February. The 1,030-strong CityU team comprises alumni, students, staff and dependants. The annual event aims to encourage exercise and strengthen unity among the CityU community. We wish the CityU runners all the very best in the gruelling event!
