The Convocation is dedicated to uniting fellow alumni to support social service endeavors. This year, as its second consecutive year, the Convocation continues to serve as the Supporting Unit for “City-Youth Empowerment Project – Career Workshop for Ethnic Minority”. This annual social service programme, organised by City-Youth Empowerment Project of the Department of Applied Social Studies, will take place on 2 March.

Ethnic youths from a secondary school will receive a half-day orientation on interview skills and hands-on training by participating in the mock interviews. Highlights of the workshop include a career sharing-session to be conducted by a group of alumni volunteers from different career fields to give participants a broad view of options. The Convocation would like to extend a special thanks to those alumni who will be joining the Standing Committee members to serve as volunteers on this occasion.

On 29 March, alumna, registered social worker and well-known author Ms Annie Chiang (蔣慧瑜小姐), will discuss the five elements leading to be a passionate social worker. The workshop will be a platform for mutual learning and experiences sharing among professional social workers.
