To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the University, CityU is running an “Honour Trees Alumni Fundraising Campaign” to provide alumni with a special way to express their caring support to their alma mater. The campaign has received enthusiastic support since its launch, and the University would like to take this opportunity to express gratitude to those who have already made a donation to the University.

As a token of appreciation, distinctive naming tree opportunities at the University’s Chinese Garden are available exclusively to alumni donors on a first-come, first-served basis. Please ACT NOW.

Let’s join hands to make the 30th anniversary of your alma mater the most memorable and fruitful one.

Donors making a gift of HK$100,000, HK$50,000 or HK$30,000 will have their names acknowledged on a Gold, Silver or Bronze Honour Plaque respectively. The plaque will be mounted permanently on a specially-selected tree at the Chinese Garden.

By participating in this campaign, alumni not only support the University’s green policy, but also help maintain a green oasis in the heart of the city.

About 160 current and former residents of the Jockey Club Academy Hall (JCAC) and University representatives attended a High Table dinner themed “Timely” on 23 March as the highlight of a series of celebrations to mark the 10th anniversary of the Hall. Apart from a lucky draw and sharing by guests, representatives of the Residents’ Association from each previous year got to choose a truly memorable item to put into a time capsule which will be opened at JCAC’s 15th Anniversary. The climax to the event was the launch and singing of a Hall Song.

Led by three experienced alumni hiking leaders, namely Miss Llicia Chang, Mr Savio Wong and Miss Flora Leung (also Convocation Standing Committee member), some 20 alumni and friends had a great time on 27 April over a 2.5-hour hiking activity at the Lung Yeuk Tau Trail organised by the CityU Convocation. Participants included alumni from the mainland and Hong Kong as well as Convocation Vice-Chairman Mr Joseph Tsoi and Standing Committee member Mr Billy Li. They enjoyed the scenic views and learnt the historical landmarks introduced by the hiking leaders along the route under the sunny weather with warm breeze. The trail was filled with laughter and joy of CityU hikers.

Fellow alumni heartily thanked the Convocation for arranging the healthy walk and treasured the opportunity to make new friends and strengthen the bonds amongst themselves. Click here to recall the happy moments.
