Nominations are now open for the 2nd Distinguished Alumni Award. You are cordially invited to put forward nominations of outstanding alumni on or before 31 May 2011.

Established in 2009 to mark CityU’s Silver Jubilee, the Award is designed to recognise and publicly honour outstanding alumni who have demonstrated remarkable personal achievements and significant contributions to their profession/career, the University and the community. At the event co-hosted by the Alumni Relations Office and the Convocation, the President will share recent developments, achievements, opportunities and challenges of the University in this fast-changing society. The Alumni Relations Office (ARO) is planning alumni reunion events in Shanghai on 26 February and Singapore on 12 March. 12 December – Homecoming Gala tops pops with IT buzz

Rediscover the CityU campus at the Homecoming Gala on Sunday 12 December and have fun with your family and friends!

Heading the entertainment is theHomecoming Concert at 3pm at the Wei Hing Theatre on campus in which performers and masters of ceremony are from the CityU family. Featuring Chet Lam (林一峰), Lai Maan (泥鯭) of RubberBand , Chan Keung (陳強), Bob Lam (林盛斌), C AllStar, Volt in Music and other talented alumni singers and bands, the Concert promises to be a “not-to-be-missed” occasion where the CityU spirit of caring, interaction and creativity is showcased to the full. The performers will also be handing out some attractive and special gifts to members of the audience, who can take part in interesting games, and share their old CityU life in-between performances. Act fast for

Homecoming Gala beckons with fun activities

Mark your diary now for Sunday 12 December when the CityU campus throws open its doors for the “Homecoming Gala”. A fun selection of activities has been lined up, so feel free to bring along your family and friends! Heading the entertainment is a concert featuring Chet Lam, C AllStar, Volt In Music and other talented alumni singers and bands. For some enlightenment you can visit our state-of-the-art laboratories to see glow-in-the-dark medaka fish at the State Key Laboratory of Marine Pollution, watch a demonstration of a self-learning dancing system at 3D Motion Capture Laboratory, and experience interactive games at the Interactive Multimedia and Virtual Reality Laboratory! For those who have kids, there’s a Children’s Corner where your little ones can have fun with games and crafts. And look out for our mascots who will pose with you for commemorative Homecoming pictures. We are sure there is something for everyone to participate in and enjoy!
