Students who took part in the 4th Telephone Affinity Campaign from 28 June to 10 August 2010 say they had a great time chatting with alumni. The callers contacted over 4,000 alumni to share news of the University’s latest developments and to seek their support. They also took the opportunity to update contact details to help strengthen the relationship with their alma mater. The six-week campaign generated over HK$1.55 million to support student development programmes. Both alumni and students appreciated and enjoyed this friendly and interactive approach to reinforce the bond between alumni and CityU.

“The alumni were so kind,” said caller Jenny Lee. “They gave me advice on my future career and encouraged me to work harder.” Fellow student Tony Sin would also like to thank all alumni for their support of CityU. “They enrich our student lives through funding of support initiatives. More importantly, we feel so blissful with all the care from our alumni.”
In addition to devoting their spare time to make the calls, all participating students supported the campaign with their own donations to the University.
