Please support the family of alumnus Fu Cheuk-yan

Recapping our email jointly broadcast with Alumni Relations Office (ARO) on 10 September about the University’s appeal to support the family of Fu Cheuk-yan, an alumnus (1997 HD Business Studies) who lost his life in the August bus hijack tragedy in Manila, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the enthusiastic support of alumni. Those who would like to contribute through donation please see the donation channels below arranged by the University until 31 October.
1. Crossed cheque, made payable to “City University of Hong Kong”, and sent to the Alumni Relations Office (5/F, Block 1, To Yuen Building, 31 To Yuen Street, City University of Hong Kong). Please mark “Support to Cheuk-yan’s Family” on the envelope.

Another great event that you should not miss is the next Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon to be held on 20 February 2011. With less than 6 months to go, you better get in training if you want to represent CityU team in this Marathon. So gather all your running mates and let’s make sure we set a new record for participation next year. Stay tuned for the University’s announcement of how to register!

What is Convocation?

The University Convocation, which comprises all graduates of the University, is a statutory body formed in accordance with the University Ordinance (Statute 10) aiming to strengthen and promote the relationships among members of the Convocation, between the Convocation and the University, and between the University and the general public. It works towards promoting the objectives and activities of the University.

The Chairman and Standing Committee members of the Convocation are elected by and from the members of the Convocation.
