Student callers show their support to Telephone Affinity Campaign with their own donation to CityU and become an Alumni Giving Club member.

The 6th Telephone Affinity Campaign was successfully held from 26 June to 10 August with the enthusiastic involvement of around 50 student callers. The students contacted some 5,000 alumni to share the latest developments at CityU and solicit their support. They also took the opportunity to update the alumni’s career paths and contact details to ensure their alma mater had a full record of their achievements.

Many generous alumni showed their care for the University by making pledges totalling around $760,000 to support student development initiatives.

The students said they really enjoyed the chats with alumni in this colourful summer break. “Talking with alumni is so inspiring and rewarding,” said caller Tommy Sze. “They provided many career suggestions and encouraged me to broaden my horizons to get equipped for the ever-changing society we have nowadays.”

Another caller, Mimi Chan, would like to thank every alumnus whom she spoke to for their generous support to CityU. “I feel so blissful to have so many supportive alumni who care about our future. Their support means so much to the young generation and helps build a better CityU!”
