Convocation will be the supporting unit for “City-Youth Empowerment Project – Career Workshop for Ethnic Minority Youth”, a social service programme organised by City-Youth Empowerment Project, Department of Applied Social Studies on 2 March at campus. Ethnic youths from a secondary school, as service recipients of the project, will receive a half-day orientation on interview skills and hands-on training by participating in mock interviews. Highlights of the workshop include a career sharing-session to be conducted by a group of alumni volunteers from different career fields to give participants a broad view of options. The programme aims to provide professional advice to ethnic youth and to help service recipients tackle challenges when pursuing their future career. A high-table dinner focusing on social skill training will also provide a great opportunity for the young students to enjoy a more interactive chat with their mentors.
