Twenty social work graduates who serve as Alumni Ambassadors took up a pivotal mentoring role for undergraduate students from the Department of Applied Social Studies (SS) in the “Social Work Graduate Mentors Scheme Kick-off Ceremony cum Sharing” jointly organised by the Department of SS and CityU Social Work Alumni Association. The alumni shared life and career tips with the students, who showed their appreciation for the enthusiasm of their mentors in subsequent discussions. Close to 60 students attended the event, as well as the Department’s Professor Dennis Wong who gave a welcome remark, Chairman of Social Work Alumni Association Mr Ivanhoe Ko, and Alumni Relations Manager Ms Pheony Tsang. Coordinated by Assistant Professor Mr Mak Hoi-wah, this annual event has proved to be a fruitful sharing between senior alumni and students.
