Some 110 participants joined the tour of CityU Shenzhen Research Institute featured in the “Alumni Gathering@Shenzhen” organised by the Alumni Relations Office on 21 February. This special occasion provided a great opportunity for alumni to foster closer ties with their alma mater and strengthen connections with fellow alumni.

University representatives in attendance included Vice-President (Development & External Relations) Professor Roderick Wong, Associate Vice-President (Alumni Relations) Ms Kathy Chan, and colleagues from the Alumni Relations Office.

Professor Wong shared updates on CityU’s recent developments and encouraged alumni to take part in the University’s 30th anniversary activities. He also thanked the alumni for their lasting support. Mr William Khoo, Vice-Chairman of the CityU Convocation which was the event partner, encouraged alumni to strengthen their bonds with the University and among each other.

Participants were impressed with the teaching facilities at the Institute, including laboratories of the Advanced Intelligent Information Systems Research Centre, Biotechnology and Health Centre, Research Centre for Oceans and Human Health, and State Key Laboratory of Millimetre-Waves. They also enjoyed a Guzheng (古箏) performance and networking cocktail reception. Check out the photos.
