The CityU Social Work Alumni Association (CityUSWAA) has joined hands with the Department of Applied Social Studies (SS) to launch a Graduate Mentors Scheme to give students the benefit of alumni’s experience as social workers. A kick-off ceremony was held on 4 April attended by SS Assistant Head Dr Elaine Au, Assistant Professor and Graduate Mentors Scheme Coordinator Mr Mak Hoi-wah, CityUSWAA President Mr Ivanhoe Ko and his Executive Committee members, and Alumni Relations Manager Ms Pheony Tsang from the Alumni Relations Office. Following the ceremony, the mentors sat down for a reunion dinner with students to share their career experiences and offer useful tips.

The “Graduate Mentors Scheme” serves to bridge alumni and students of the Department of Applied Social Studies.
